All Miami-Dade County offices, including libraries and courts, are closed in observance of the holiday. Most schools will be closed Monday. Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only. Nevada County offices, along with those of Grass Valley and Nevada City, will be closed on Monday, Columbus Day.
Other federal offices, including Social Security and the IRS, will also be closed.
State-run offices like the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Human Services and Lottery headquarters will not be open on October 12.
